Happy New Year to all! How’s it going? How are your resolutions standing? 2018 came in with a force and it’s not waiting around for anyone! I love it though because it keeps me on my toes.
Since it’s already past the middle of the month and also around that time when people start to fall off track of with their New Year “New Me” resolutions… because lets face it, nobody is perfect I just wanted to share the ones i’ve made. I made my New Year resolutions tangible so that they fit my lifestyle and and become long term goals.
#1 AUTHENTICITY: Keeping myself and my lifestyle authentic. What I mean by this is that authenticity is not something everyone can actually portray or embrace. We live in a world where we seek to be accepted and we crave approval from everyone. But does keeping everyone, (strangers included) happy, make YOU happy? This is something I have always, always been very aware of, and the one thing I really want if anything, for my children to learn from me, to be your true self. It is okay to be your unique, beautiful, and interesting self! My oldest son will turn 12 this year and it’s a time in his life that his appearance matters, his style, what he listens to are judged by his friends and peers, and my goal is to make sure he is confident, excited and determined to succeed and enjoy all that he truly loves.
#2 SKINCARE: Keeping up my skin care routine because it’s been working so well. For the last year I became invested in my skin care, when I was in my 20’s makeup was more important but my skincare, but now in my 30’s, I want to look my best with and without makeup! I became obsessed with Korean Beauty and their intense skin care routine, and that is a topic I will be writing on in the near future! I can’t wait to share with you all my favorite products!
#3 TRAVEL: The world is our oyster and it is waiting to be explored, although I prefer to do it in comfort and style (who doesn’t like luxury?) while others might backpack it, its to be enjoyed it to the fullest. Having a family and keeping up with school schedules does not give much room or flexibility to just take a flight when I please but I have become a professional stalker of the school calendar to get our much needed escapes from time to time! Here are some videos from our 2017 vacations in Punta Cana and Cancun Hope they give you a mental escape, because thats exactly what they do for me!
So tell me what are your resolutions, and how are they going for you? What’s keeping you motivated?
